Do I need to take action?

Yes, action is required! If you’ve had the same benefit elections for several years, take some time to review your options. Enrollment is required if you’re:

  • Making changes to your benefit plans;
  • Adding or dropping dependents; or
  • Going to contribute to the health care or dependent day care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs). (Current FSA elections will not carry over to the 2014/2015 year—you must re-enroll each year.)

Special note for new hires making benefit elections 5/1/2014 or after
Please contact the Spirit AeroSystems Benefits Center at 1-877-459-3345 to enroll for both the current benefit year and the coming 2014/2015 benefit year. You will not be able to make your elections via the online system.

Here's how to get started:  

1 Review options and highlights for the coming year:
2 Make your elections by May 9:
  • Go to www.myspiritbenefits.mercerhrs.com (if you don’t have access to a computer, call the Benefits Center at 1-877-459-3345 to enroll).
  • Enter your Social Security number and PIN, which has been reset to your six-digit birth date (MMDDYY). Once you log in, you’ll be required to change it.
  • Complete your elections online by midnight Central time on May 9 (or 5 p.m. Central for telephone elections).
Confirm your elections:
  • After you enroll, you’ll receive an email with a link to view your 2014/2015 elections online.
  • Review them carefully to make sure they accurately reflect your decisions.
  • Print a copy of the confirmation for your records.
